  • Streamline Content Development. Managers can take advantage of advanced project management and reporting capabilities and facilitate collaborative development work through a workspace environment. Content creation and approval cycles can be streamlined through integrated workflow functionality that adheres to established prerequisite rules.
  • Leverage Team Development and SMEs. Support for decentralized collaborative development allows you to create content at any level, making it easy for multiple developers and/or SMEs to work together. A drag and drop structure builder allows developers to modify the structure of a course, and add or delete pages and objects as necessary. Reviewers can attach time stamped review notes, leave notes on screen and use mark-up changes to provide feedback on content in the development cycle.
  • Maximize Knowledge Retention and On-the-Job Performance. Dynamically generate individualized assessments and "tune up" courses based on a learner's knowledge gaps. The OutStart LCMS - ForceTen Module keeps track of performance against assessments.

ForceTen Module LCMS customers typically reduce development costs by 65% with ForceTen LCMS’s rapid authoring capabilities.

  • Measurement. Take advantage of the wide range of reports available on users, content, developers, and workflow to track project progress, optimize production processes, evaluate content, and improve learning.
  • Meet corporate requirements with support for multiple standards. Enforce industry and corporate standards with extensive support for standards and platforms including: SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004; seamless conversion from SCORM 1.2 to 2004; ADA Section 508, AICC, PENS, QTI, W3C and WCAG Compliance; built-in technical controls for U.S. FDA 21 CFR Part 11; and Microsoft Windows, UNIX® and Linux® platform support.

Josh Bersin, President of Bersin & Associates, an enterprise learning and talent management  research and advisory firm said, “Our latest research shows that the ability to share and reuse content is among the top ten drivers of the business impact of learning. Critical factors such as time to market, customer service, and performance proficiency are all tied to efficient and effective content strategies.”

Key Features

  • Native OutStart LCMS - ForceTen Module functionality includes a myriad of simple to advanced content and assessment functionality to provide interactive content for your learners. This advanced functionality includes: full support for Flash animation; customized navigation bars; customized animation; audio files; transition timing; timeline editing; branching functionality; and support for multiple third party development tools and media, such as Microsoft® PowerPoint, Word, Adobe® PDF, Macromedia® FLASH® and NETg.
  • Effectively develop, reuse, localize or import content. An object-oriented content model allows organizations to develop, access, and reuse any type of learning object no matter where it was created. Advanced taxonomy and metadata capabilities enable effective categorization and retrieval of content, increasing the reusability of content and reducing the maintenance effort. Thumbnails provide beneficial visuals to aid in content selection within the search functionality.
  • An integrated translation accelerator facilitates localization of content for organizations with a distributed workforce who work in various languages.
  • The content model supports rapid localization of courses and content for different audiences based on role, region or market, and simplifies the downstream management of this content over time.
  • Ensure security with policy-driven access through granular security controls, from groups down to users. The password policy gives administrators the capability to force standard password changes/rules. The ability to implement runtime authentication questions at various intervals provides increased security at the course level by repeatedly verifying a learner's identity.
